Jiangwei
The Jiangwei is Manchuria’s answer to the problem of separatist colonies and rebellious outposts.  It is a fast vessel, with an adequate weapons suite, and the capacity to deploy up to 50 heavily armed Drop Marines as shock troops.  The Jiangwei may sacrifice its small cargo hold for the capacity to carry even more troops, or to carry another small lander.  Like other Manchurian warships, the Jiangwei depends on its JN-19 Silkworm antiship missiles for most of its offensive punch, though its beam armament is sufficient against smaller vessels.  It has a high thrust main drive for a cruiser, though this is in part due to the Manchurians’ lack of Long Jump stardrive and AMPLAR torch drives – ships must be capable of traversing to Jump Points quickly to cover vast distances in as short a time period as possible.  Unfortunately, the Jiangwei lacks the propellent reserves to take much advantage of its high thrust engine, and the design’s delta-vee is limited compared to other warships.  The Jiangwei is also rumored to be under development with Manchurian factions on Jin Xian, though how much of these rumors are the result of paranoia and how much is truth has yet to be determined.
