| The Ahura
Mazda (AMC-115), is a one of a kind super yacht built for
merchant prince Varun Amra of Ganges Mercantile, LTD.
Constructed in 2360 by the prestigious shipbuilding firm Estrella
Esperanza of Terranova, Alpha Centauri A, the Ahura Mazda represents the crown
jewel of the Ganges Mercantile empire. The yacht is cruiser sized
in displacement, very fast for a vessel of its displacement and doubly
so for a civilian starship, and opulent in its design and
construction. The ship was built to be the personal home and
business headquarters for Varun Amra as he expanded his company’s
operations into Sagittarius, and no personal comforts were left
out. From the large personal valet staff to the luxurious gardens
which provide food and air/water recycling to the stunning interior
design by Earth’s most renowned architects, the Ahura Mazda is a space going palace. Like any palace, the Ahura Mazda requires defenses against attack, and the ship is well armored and armed with an excellent array of four point defense batteries, a Class-2 laser with all aspect fire, and two Class-1 lasers with all aspect fire. Varun was permitted to bring his yacht so armed through the stargate by posting a personal bond of $10 billion Solarian Dollars to the SDC against the good behavior of his ship, whereas others who wished to bring ships armed with Class-2 or better lasers were denied or had to downgrade their weapons to Class-1 mounts. In addition, the Ahura Mazda is never without the company of at least one of three fully armed Rajput class frigates that Varun also pledged $10 billion bonds against in order to bring them with him.
